Selected Species - Paphiopedilum mastersianum. Peter Taylor's regular feature is, as usual, an excellent read. Peter researches his subject thoroughly and presents us with the discovery, coming into cultivation, its natural habitat and his culture secrets. Excellent photograph.
The Bill Murdoch Trophy - Champion Australian Native Orchid Species 1999. This trophy is awarded annually by the Ira Butler Trophy Committee for the outstanding native species nominated by orchid societies during the year. The trophy winner for 1999 is Dendrobium tetragonum 'Bellingen', owned by Norm & Kay Mitchell who live in Belligen, NSW, hence the clonal name. Great photos of the plant and individual flowers.
