The Orchid Club of South Australia Inc.

The Orchid Club of South Australia Inc. meets on the first Thursday of each month (except January) at and Septemvber) and the second Friday afternoon of every month at the Enfield Community Centre. 540 Regency Road, Enfield.. Approximately 100 members attend the evening meetings and visitors are always welcome. The day meeting is attended by approx. 30 members and is an informal meeting of people who enjoy gardening.  Each meeting has a competitive display of orchids.

The Committee strives each year to establish a program of speakers to cover a wide range of genera and to include cultural information for the novice grower. Each month members receive a copy of the "South Australian Orchid Bulletin". This club publication keeps the members informed of the upcoming events within the Club, the previous month's show bench results and many more items of interest to them.

The Orchid Club of South Australia Inc. is a Foundation Member of the Australian Orchid Council Inc., established in 1962.

We hold three major shows each year.  The main Shows are held in Autumn (late April at the Enfield Community Centre), Winter (middle to late July at Golden Grove Village Shopping Centre) and Spring (late August/early September - in asociation ith the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Spring show at the Wayville Showgrounds. 

Over the years The Orchid Club of South Australia Inc. has successfully published books on culture.  Its latest publication, 'Orchid Culture - Some Sound Advice' is available for $5.95 including postage.
